Today was craft day...we got assigned to help the Relief
Society with some props for the Christmas presentation they're gonna do on
Saturday. So we went down to the market and found ourselves a paper store,
bought some paper, markers, headbands, and came back home and made the letters N-O-E-L, a star, some reindeer antlers, and some bells for the sisters to
hold up during the song they were gonna sing. And then we went over and made
doughnuts with the Ward Mission Leader (he works at a bakery, so he knows all
things bread and pastries) for la Noche de Hermanamiento,
which is basically a ward gathering where we have a spiritual thought, play a
simple game, and then have a treat. So we did all that, and it turned out well.
I drew on my time in the youth programs and remembered the Knot game, where you
have a group of people and they all hold hands, and then you have to figure out
how to untangle yourselves and form a circle. It took a few tries and some
explaining, but then everybody got the idea and they had a fun time with that.
So that was a fun day, the training continues! Hna Mora
seems happy and says she's learning a lot, so those are good signs.

We found a noni tree, so we decided to try it as
she's never had it before. Noni is not delicious. It's kinda bitter and just
isn't yummy to eat.
I don't think we'll really ever eat it again. |
